General Summary
Verifies conformance of constructed telecommunications facilities to all elements of plans and specifications for telecommunications construction projects, including fiber and copper cable and splices, pedestals, hand holes, manholes, handling techniques for fiber and copper cable, site cleanup and tracks receipt of all required permits, easements, cable locates and Right of Way prior to construction. Knowledge of both aerial and buried cable construction. Makes site inspections to Uses prescribed safety equipment and procedures. Records as built data and communicates deviations from plans and specifications to Resident or supervisor. Specifically excludes supervision of any construction contractor or client staff or participation in any construction activity. Creates staking sheets during pre-construction design activities.

General Summary
Verifies conformance of constructed telecommunications facilities to all elements of plans and specifications for telecommunications construction projects, including fiber and copper cable and splices, pedestals, hand holes, manholes, handling techniques for fiber and copper cable, site cleanup and tracks receipt of all required permits, easements, cable locates and Right of Way prior to construction. Knowledge of both aerial and buried cable construction. Schedules and supervises other inspectors for project and makes site inspections to check public safety precautions and use of prescribed safety equipment and procedures by company personnel only. Specifically excludes supervision of any construction contractor or client staff or responsibility for any contractor’s or client’s construction equipment. Supervise and participate in the development of staking sheets during pre-construction design activities.
